The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Monday, March 6, 1933
Henry Hiler, 78, died at the home of his son, Harold, 3 Wager Place, at 12:15 
Monday following a long illness.  Funeral services will be conducted at the 
home of the son Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock by Dr. M. W. Duffey.  Burial 
will be in Lowell.

Henry Hiler, the son of Walter and Ruth Hiler, was born in Vergennes township, 
Kent County, November 3, 1854.  He was united in marriage in 1883, on 
Thanksgiving day, to Lillian Miller, who lived in the same locality.  His 
first wife died in 1902 leaving two children, Harold Hiler, Ionia, and Mrs. 
Charles Burr, Pontiac.  April 4, 1906 he married Mrs. Cassie Moffet, who with 
the children, a sister, Mrs. Libbie Fox, Grand Rapids, and two grandchildren 
survive.  For years Mr. Hiler conducted the furniture and undertaking business 
in Lowell but had lived for the past 19 years in Grand Rapids.
