The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, March 29, 1968


Rev. Lester C. Bailey officiated at funeral services Thursday at First 
Methodist church for H. Murl Hiler who died in Florida Monday.  Entombment was 
in Highland Park mausoleum.

Bearers were Fred Kidd Jr., Oliver Hood, Dr. Harry Bliss, Louis Bricker, 
Marshall Westfall and Dr. Chandler Haight.  Officers, directors and employees 
of Ionia County National bank were seated in a group.  Also seated in groups 
were members of Lions club and employees of Hiler’s store.

Attending from out of town were Mrs. Harold Hiler, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Gould, 
Mr. and Mrs. Thorne Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Richard LeValley of Grand Rapids; 
Mr. and Mrs. George Heim of Wheaton, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Heinrich, Mrs. 
Jack Wilson, Mrs. Ted Barton and Mr. and Mrs. John Adgate of Saranac; Mr. and 
Mrs. Dick Wales of Utica; Rev. and Mrs. Josiah Pennington of Douglas; Bill 
Pennington of Interlochen; Mr. and Mrs. Merle Henry and Richard Roberts, of 
Ann Arbor; Mrs. Hollis Powell of Detroit; Dr. and Mrs. John Dalzell, Adrian; 
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Neller of Okemos; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Neller, Mrs. Gerald 
Robert, Dr. and Mrs. Clyde Spender and family and Mr. and Mrs. Jon Runquist of
