Frank J. Hill, 79, died early Wednesday morning at Traverse City.  The son of 
John and Phoebe Hill, he was born in Orleans on January 8, 1871.  He was 
married to Minnie E. Post in October, 1893.  They had one son, Glenn V., who 
died in 1910.  Mrs. Hill died May 11, 1947.

Mr. Hill was employed in Orleans by F. Bradford in his store and also worked 
for A.W. Palmer.  In 1902 he accepted a position with the Edmore Mercantile 
company.  In 1909 he returned to his home town where he operated a general 
store for 45 years.

Survivors are one sister, Mrs. Milton Kennedy, Ionia; six nieces, Mrs. Milton 
Decker, Mrs. Hazen Hinds and Miss Alma Kennedy of Ionia; Mrs. Goldie Face, 
Belding; Mrs. Fred Nielson, Sheridan; Mrs. Harold Graft, Portland and Mrs. 
Laurence Jay of Grand Rapids; two nephews, Carroll Kennedy of Ionia and George 
Hill of Grand Rapids.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Boynton funeral home Saturday 
afternoon at 2 o’clock.  Interment will be in the Orleans cemetery.
