Ella Hill, of Portland, born in Charlotte March 20, 1911 died May 28, 2007 at 
the age of 96.  

Mrs. Hill was a member of the First Baptist Church of Portland, the Portland 
Art Club and the Portland V. F. W. Post #4090 Ladies Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” J. Hill in 1989; and 
sisters, Reta Thompson and Virginia Blood.  Surviving are her daughter, Carol 
(Ron) Lovewell and sons, Jack (Sharon) and Billy (Loreita ) Hill, all of 
Portland.

Memorial services have been held.  The family is being served by the Gorsline-
Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing.  Contributions may be sent to Heartland 
Health Care, 410 E. Lincoln St., Ionia, MI  48846.
