Billie Ann Hill, age 84, of Saranac passed away March 7, 2014, in Lowell.  She 
was born December 21, 1929 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Eric and Louise Kay 
(Calhoun) Greenwald.  She was a graduate of Saranac High School, class of 
1947.  She married Andrew E. Hill of Saranac on July 23, 1948.  

Billie was a founding member of Galilee Baptist Church.  She taught Sunday 
School for several decades and served as pianist and treasurer.  Billie worked 
as a type setter at McCarty Communications. 

She is survived by her sons, Andrew and Teri Hill of Illinois, Colin (Coke) and 
Judy Hill of Saranac, Martin and Michelle Hill of Midland; sister Marjorie 
Miller of Lowell; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.  She was 
preceded in death by her loving husband Andrew ( Andy), her parents, three 
sisters, one sister in law, and six brother in laws. 

Funeral Services for will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at the 
Saranac Community Church.  Visitation will be at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia 
Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  Memorial contributions made by made in Billie’s name 
to Saranac Fire Department.
