Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 18 Dec 1961

Graveside service will be held at Higbee cemetery, Peterson road near Ionia at
about 3 p.m. Tuesday for Mrs. Etta J. Hill, 79, of 609 Thayer street, Chesaning,
who died Saturday in a Saginaw hospital.  She moved to Chesaning from Ionia
about six years ago.

She was born December 27, 1881, on route two, Belding, the daughter of Elon and
Weltha Johnson.  She was married September 9, 1903 to Alva Hill, who died
several years ago.

Mrs. Hill is survived by a son, Harry Hill of Chesaning; four grandchildren;
three great-grandchildren, and a cousin, Mrs. Hattie Palmer of Orleans.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Morse funeral chapel at
Chesaning with the Rev. Allan Gray officiating.
