Ionia Standard - 23 March 1906
Mrs. Robert Hill of Orleans died on Saturday evening at 7 p.m.  Her age was 53, 
and she was born in Ionia county.  Her maiden name was Mary Lansing, and she was 
a daughter of A. J. Lansing.  She leaves a husband and two children; one son 
Alva, who farms the homestead place; and one daughter, Nellie M., wife of W. W. 
Brooks of Orleans.

Mrs. Hill belonged to that class of women who find their sphere of duty and 
pleasure mostly in the home circle, and here is where she will be most missed 
and mourned - here and in the neighborhood where she was best known, and where 
her kindly spirit found the field of helpful kindness most congenial to her 
nature.

Funeral service at the family resident on Tuesday at 2 p.m.  Interment in Higbee 
cemetery.
