Maxine F. Hill, 82, of Belding, passed away Friday evening, January 19, 2007 
in Saranac.  Maxine was born on March 17, 1924 in Easton Township, the 
daughter of William L. and Orzantha Cockrun Mosier.  Maxine was a member of 
Shiloh Community Church.  She loved to garden, grow flowers and feed and watch 
the birds.  Maxine and her husband Burton owned and operated Hills Crate Mill 
for many years.

She was married on July 3, 1941 in Ionia to Burton A. Hill and he preceded 
Maxine on July 13, 2003.  She was also preceded by her parents, her brothers; 
Ford, Clyde and Laverne and one son in infancy; Conneth Owen Hill.  Maxine is 
survived by her children and their spouses; Shirley and Mark Denman and Rona 
and Sandy Hill all of Belding.

She is also survived by her grandchildren; Richard Denman, James and Geri 
Denman Matthew and Annisa Denman, Ashley Denman, Emilee Denman, Dorothy 
Denman, Merrilee and Jim Thomas, Jon and Stacie Hill, Michael and Janice Hill 
and Wendi Dulek.  Maxine is also survived by several great grandchildren, 
numerous other foster grandchildren, her sister-in-law; Alice Babcock of Ionia 
and special friends and caregivers; Steve and Robin Martin.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today at Shiloh Community Church with Pastor 
Ken Harger officiating.  Interment will follow in Orleans Township Cemetery.  
Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Johnson-
Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.  Memorials may be given to Shiloh Church or 
Orleans Township Fire Department.
