J. Hills. The members of the Wm. H. Borden Post, G.A.R., and the Woman's Relief Corps present numbered nearly one hundred, and the fellow clerks with the daughter in the store of W. C. Peer & Co., some fifteen, beside the many other individual friends. There were a number of very choice floral tributes. The ritual service of the church was read by Rector W. H. Thomas, D.D., who also preached a discourse full of warmth of his personal friend. The choir, of which Prof. Hills was a member, was assisted in the singing by Messrs. Thane Benedict and Wing Yates, the other singers being Mrs. James I. Williston, Mrs. Harry E. Spencer, Miss Eva Montgomery, Miss Alice Taylor, Miss Mary Woodward. Miss Etta Montgomery, organist. The bearers were the following named comrades from Wm. H. Bordon Post: J D. Dennison, J. l. Fowle, C. C. Eyster, C. A. Preston, Leander Perry, N. L. Brookins, Myron M. Currier, A. W. Sayles.
