Harold L. Hills, 88, formerly of Muir, died Saturday in Grand Rapids.  He was
born February 27, 1905, in Howard City, the son of George and Hattie Dusenberry
Hills.  He attended the Ensley Center Schools.

He moved to Muir in 1940.  He moved to Grand Rapids in 1966, where he married
the former Bernice Brunner in May of that year.  He was a retired security guard
for the Lear-Sigler Corp.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Francine Hartwick of Portland and
Carolyn Fulcher of McKinzie, Tenn.; one son, Fred Hills of Portland; two
step-daughters, Sally Thelen of Grand Rapids and Alma Verner of Byron Center;
three stepsons, Richard Brunner of Rockford, Kurt Brunner of Houston, and Walter
Brunner of Belmont; one brother, Homer Hills of Pierson; 10 grandchildren; 14
step grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and eight step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hull Memorial Chapel, Muir. 
Burial will be in Muir Cemetery.  The family will be at the funeral home from
2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
