Ionia Shopper's Guide-March 31, 2018

HILLS
In loving memory of Virginia Ruth (Hall) Hills, born August 13, 1936. Virginia
passed away on March 22, 2018 at home under Hospice care due to a brief brought with cancer. She
was 81 years old.

The daughter of Charles and Lila Hall. She had three brothers, Chuck, John and
Walter.

Virginia grew up in Saranac, Mich. where she met and married Cecil Ray Harkrader 
(Divorced). They had four children. Walter and (Lori) Harkrader of Orleans, Mich.;
Victoria and (John) Wheeler of Lyons, MI., David Harkrader of Edmore, Mich.; Medina and
(Steven) White of Hastings, Mich.. She later met and married Frederick (Fred) Hills of
Portland, Mich.. they were married for 44 years. She had 3 step-children, Loraine, Mark and
Richard Hills. She had many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren from both families. She
will be missed by all.

Virginia had the gift of gab and she liked to make people laugh. She enjoyed going
to Mackinaw City during the Bridge walk, traveling to Florida in the winter, and
meeting new people.She also liked collecting knick-knacks of frogs.

Virginia was preceded in death by both parents, all three brothers, a stepson, a 
granddaughter and a great-grandchild.

Funeral arrangements were made by Lehman Funeral home of Portland. Funeral services
were not being held. She was cremated, Internment at a later date.
