Phillip James Hilton, 64, of Ionia passed away Sunday evening, May 20, 2007 at
his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice.  He was born August
20, 1942 in Belding the son of James and Edith Walters Hilton.

Phillip graduated from Belding High School with the class of 1960 and served in
the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.  He retired from Fisher Body
in Lansing after many years of service.  He was a member of the VFW Post No.
4406 in Belding and UAW Local No. 602.  He will be greatly missed by his family
and friends.  Phillip was married on January 10, 1976 to Dawn Elaine Chlebek and
she preceded him on Feb.  24, 1988.  He was also preceded by his parents.

Phillip is survived by his children, Laura Hodges and Robbie Culp of Ionia,
Annette and Dave Hayes of New Hudson, MI, Cindy Hilton and Danon Scriber of
Belding, Phyl and Rick Perrien of Ionia.  He is also survived by his
grandchildren, Amanda Hodges, China Hodges, Ricky James Perrien, and another
granddaughter on the way, his sisters; Linda Biggs and Rick VerHage of Lowell,
Jan and Bob Mehney of Belding, Joann and Tim Stahl of Ionia, and many nieces and
nephews.  In keeping with his wishes private graveside services will take place
at Greene Cemetery.  A time of fellowship will be Wednesday at 4:30 PM at the
Belding VFW Post.  Memorial contributions may be made to Belding VFW or the
American Cancer Society “Relay for Life”.  Care and services were entrusted to
Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.
