Ionia Daily Standard, 4 Feb 1899

Mary, wife of Philander Hinds died this morning, at the home on West Main 
street.  She was a sister of Richard and Nelson Dye, well known pioneer 
business men.  She was married to Mr. Hinds in the state of New York sixty-five 
years ago, and came with him to Ionia county about 1856?.  She leaves a husband 
and six children, Nelson and Herbert of this city, Hettie, wife of Bert 
Harrington, Ronald; Jay, of Oceana county; Mary, wife of Dr. Frank Berry, of 
Harriette, Wexford county, and Marian, wife of Dr. Berry, of Grand Rapids.
