Ionia Daily Sentinel, 18 Jul 1927

Herbert W. Hinds, well-known Berlin township farmer, died at his home shortly 
after 10 o’clock Monday morning.  Mr. Hinds had been in poor health for a 
number of months and underwent an exploratory operation in a Detroit hospital 
late in the winter.  Since returning home he had seemed to improve and had been 
able to be outdoors.

Besides his widow he leaves one son, Leo Hinds, of Berlin, and a brother, C. E. 
Hinds, of Detroit.  The funeral arrangements have not been made.
