The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Friday, March 5, 1937

Mrs. Sarah Eugenia Hinds, 79, died at her home in Orange township Thursday 
afternoon at 3:30 o’clock following an illness of the past seven months.

She was born in Ganoque, Ont., October 5, 1857 and spent her early life there, 
coming to Michigan in 1878.  In 1881 she was married to Stephen Hinds of 
Orange and has lived at her present home since then.  Mr. Hinds died in 1906.

While her health permitted she was an active member of the LeValley church 
missionary circles and ladies’ aid society.

She is survived by one daughter, Miss Jessie Hinds, at home; one brother, 
Frank Wright of Ganoque, Ontario; and three sisters, Mrs. Walter Cummings and 
Mrs. Jessie Blancher of Morrisbury, Ontario, and Mrs. Lou Arthur of Montreal, 
Canada.

A prayer service will be held Sunday afternoon at the home at 2:30 o’clock 
followed by funeral services at 3 o’clock at the LeValley church.  Burial will 
be at Balcom cemetery.
