Funeral Held Saturday For William Hinds.

Services for William E. Hinds, 43, 926 Hill St. were held Saturday afternoon at
Neller Funeral Home, the Rev. Robert Treat officiating.

Surviving the deceased are the wife, Frances; four daughters, Mrs. Sharon Keysor
of Harrison and Diane, Marsha and Kathy at home; the father, Leo Hinds of
Lansing; three brothers, Max of Portland, George of Grand Haven and Herbert of
Portland; a sister, Mrs. Adele Viilo of Ravenna and a grandmother, Mrs. Ada
Gunderson.

The deceased who previously had been in the Armed Forces for 16 years, was
office manager for a construction firm.  He was a member of the local V.F.W.
post and American Legion No. 28 of Grand Haven.  Burial was in Portland
Cemetery, and military graveside services were held.

The deceased died Thursday from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the
coroner.
