PORTLAND-Douglas M. Hinds, age 55, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2013. He 
was born on December 7, 1957 in Lansing, MI the son of Maxwell and Clarabelle 
(Morgridge) Hinds. Mr. Hinds got his Associates Degree from Ferris State 
University, and worked in factories for a living. Douglas enjoyed NASCAR, going 
to races, and enjoyed working on his trucks. He was an athlete growing up, and 
loved watching the MSU Spartan football and basketball teams, and loved his dog 
and cat. Doug also enjoyed helping his daughter, Meghan, practice volleyball 
and softball. Preceding him in death were his parents.

Surviving are his daughter, Meghan Hinds of Toledo, OH; siblings, Darlene 
McCrumb, TN, and Daniel (Germaine) Hinds of Pentwater, MI; several nieces and 
nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 
Hideaway Campground, 9671 W. Silver Lake Road, Mears, MI, 49436. Arrangements 
are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes, Portland. Online condolences  may be
