Hinds a life-long resident of Ionia, died at Traverse City Thursday, June 16, suddenly. The body will be brought to Ionia where funeral services will be held form the Boynton funeral home Saturday at 2 p.m. Dr. J. Lee Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in the family lot, Highland Park cemetery. He was the son of the late Nelson and Emma Hinds. Over 50 years ago, Mr. Hinds played the alto horn in the old Ionia city band. The only surviving members of the band which was composed of about 20 men are believed to be Frank Wirtz and John Klenk. Surviving are one sister, Marie E. Michelsen? of South Ionia; a brother-in-law, J.C. King, of South Ionia; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. John B. Hinds, Yonkers, N.Y.
