Ionia Sentinel Standard, 28 Oct 1991

Elizabeth Hiner, 76, of Ionia, died Friday at her residence.  She was born the 
daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Ritzu Vargo in Bridgeport, Conn., on May 27, 
1915.  She attended SS. Peter and Paul’s Academy.  She worked as a factory 
worker at General Tire for 40 years, until her retirement in 1980.  She was a 
member of the First Assembly of God Church.

Surviving are: three sisters, Mary Nagy and Helen Andres, both of Ionia, and 
Ann Powers of Grand Rapids; one brother Stephen Vargo of Belding; and several 
nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband Marion Hiner in 
1984, and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held at Cook Funeral Home, Ionia, 2 p.m. Monday, with 
the Rev. Lewis Adamson of the First Assembly of God Church officiating.  Burial 
will be in the Balcom Cemetery.  A memorial has been established for the First 
Assembly of God Church, in care of the funeral home.
