Fred Emory Hines' Services Held

Fred Emory Hines. 77, retired carpenter of 10323 Bell Rd., Clarksville passed 
away early Monday morning at the Osteopathic hospital, Grand Rapids, where he 
had been a patient for 24 hours.

He was born June 28, 1896 at Cedar Springs, the son of joseph and Lettie (Snow) 
Hines and had lived in Clarksville for the past 25 years and previous to that 
time in Kalamazoo for 20 years. He married Lena Heaven of Clarksville, October 
28, 1916, who survives.

Other survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Lillian Cochran of Kalamazoo; two sons, 
Verle of Allegan and Merlin of Scotts; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 
a sister, Mrs. Elsie Bodell of Greenville and two brothers, Frank and Floyd of 
Alma. 

Mr. Hines reposed at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel at Clarksville until noon 
Wednesday and was then taken to the Clarksville Bible church where services were 
held at 1:30. Rev. Don Zook officiated with burial in the Clarksville cemetery.
