The body was brought to Lake Odessa for burial and the funeral was held Sunday afternoon in the Calvary United Brethren church, Rev. C. N. Stormes of the First United Brethren church preaching the sermon and Rev. R. A. Hoffman, pastor of Calvary United Brethren church, singing appropriate songs. Mr. Hines was familiarly known as Ed and was a member of the First U. B. church, quiet and unassuming he led a bachelor’s life. For some time he had not been well and growing worse when went to the home of his sister where he died as mentioned above. He leaves one brother Emerson Hines of Lansing.
