The Ionia Daily Standard, Thursday, September 15, 1904
Lewis Hines died at his boarding place in Berlin last Sunday, after a two 
weeks’ illness resulting from a paralytic stroke.  Mr. Hines was about 75 
years old and was a veteran of the Civil war having enlisted with an Ohio 
regiment.  He leaves four children three boys and a girl, all of whom live in 
Ohio.
