Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Claude and Fred, one daughter, Pearl, and one step- son, Guy Cook. Mr. Hines was 79 years of age and a veteran of the Civil war. His home was in Saranac many years. He and his wife conducted a restaurant on Main street. Fifteen years ago they sold out and went to Detroit, where they have made their home ever since. Several friends from out of town were here to attend the burial in the Saranac cemetery.
