Scott Michael Hinkley, age 3, of Saranac, died Friday at Butterworth Hospital 
in Grand Rapids.  He was born April 2, 1990, in Grand Rapids, the son of 
Michael and Janie Tindall Hinkley.  He was a member of the Saranac Community 
Church.

He is survived by his father Michael Hinkley of Alto; his mother Janis Sowerby 
of Saranac; his grandparents, Florence Hinkley of Elsie and Samuael and Connie 
Tindall of Lowell; his great grandmother Heneritta Hucksteep of Flint; his 
sister, Laurie at home; and two half sisters, Deanna and Rhondi Sowerby at 
home.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Saranac Community Church, with 
the Rev. Stanley Hagemeyer officiating.  Burial will be in the Saranac 
Cemetery.  The family will be at the Lake Funeral Home of Saranac from 2-4 and 
7-8:30 p.m. Monday.  A memorial has been established for the Saranac Community 
Church work camp, in care of the funeral home.
