Hinman, Old Practioneer Died Dr. Spencer DeForest Hinman, 66 years old, died Tuesday morning his apartments at the Hotel Herkimer. Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2 at the Berton A. Spring chapel and will be under the auspices of DeMolai commandery, No. 5, Knights Templar. Temporary interment will be in a vault at Oak Hill cemetery. Dr. Hinman’s death brought to an end a life of unselfish administration irrespective of financial return. His early training was secured at the place of his birth, Batavia, N. Y., and was under the tutorship of his uncle, Dr. H. J. Hutchins, who survives him. For 20 years Dr. Hinman practiced with Dr. Homer C. Brigham in Grand Rapids. He was a member of the Kent County Medical society and during his residence here was affiliated with the Park Congregational church. Fraternally he was identified with the various Masonic bodies. Surviving besides the widow, formerly Miss Isabel Durfee, to whom he was married at Batavia in 1888, is one sister, Mrs. Dwight Z. Brooks of Ionia.
