Betty M. Hissong, 57, 109 Warren Street, Portland, died May 28 in the DeWitt
area.  She was born Nov. 29, 1927, in Muskegon, the daughter of Harold and Fay
Smith Brown.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth of Haslett; seven children: Sandra
Spitzley of Portland, Judy Burhans of Haslett, Jean Smith of Haslett, Gaylord
Hissong of Haslett, Kenneth Hissong of Haslett, Bridgett Hissong of Haslett,
Sally Jo Pohl of Portland; one brother: Harold (Jr.) Hissong of Muskegon; 12
grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Friday at 1 p.m. from the Neller Funeral Home in
Portland with Rev. James Rose, Portland Baptist Church officiating.  Burial will
be in the Niles Cemetery.
