Funeral service will be held there tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock. She was the first actual settler on the ground after the founding of the village of Lyons in 1836, she making a location on west side of river and putting up a log house in the summer of that year. Decedent was first married to Burgess Hall, a brother of the late Frederick Hall of this city. After the death of her first husband, she was married to Henry Hitchcock, who survives her. Two children by first husband are still living: Charles Hall of Grand Ledge, and Mrs. Carrie Crane, widow of Albert Crane, Lyons. One son by second husband also survives, George Hitchcock of Lyons. Decedent was a niece of the first wife of Hon. John C. Blanchard. Her age was about 72. She was one of the most lovable of women, and her departure brings a deep feeling of sadness to the hearts of a wide circle of friends.
