He had been a patient three weeks. Born in Ionia county October 16, 1878, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jefferson Hitchcock. He was married to May Courtney and had resided at the present residence 17 years. Surviving besides his wife, May, are two sons, William of Ionia, and Thomas J. of Jackson; one daughter, Mrs. Otto (Beatrice) Schram of Portland; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Hattie Isham of Lansing. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the Stone-Kauffman funeral home with the Rev. Floyd Emshwiller officiating. Burial will be at Portland cemetery.
