The deceased was born near Fenwick, April 14, 1889, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hitdlebaugh, and was employed for a time as inspector at the Motor Products Company in Detroit. Mr. Hitdlebaugh was a graduate of Ferris Institute at Big Rapids and Bliss Business College in Greenville. His wife, the former Mary DeChene, passed away in October 1939, a victim of tuberculosis. Since her passing, Mr. Hitdlebaugh had been in failing health, and for the past few weeks he had been in a very serious condition. Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Ann, 10, Barbara Jean, 6, both of this city, and Mary Margaret of Brighton; three sons, Leonard and Keith, also of Brighton, Kenneth of Detroit, the mother, Mrs. Robinson of this city and two children. Funeral services were held from Fales Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon. Interment was in Shanty Plains cemetery.
