Orleans-Otisco – T. Curtis and wife of Greenville and O. Hanks and wife of
Sunfield were called here Saturday by the death of their nephew, Ralph Hoadley.

Little Ralph Hoadley, the grandson of James Hanks, and a son of Mrs. Will
Standen, passed from this life Friday, May 14, at 2 o’clock p.m.  He was born
October 21, 1884, in Otisco township and always passed his days here, which were
borne patiently as his health was very poor most of the time during his twelve
years with us.  He was not considered dangerously ill until a week ago when the
doctor pronounced the fatal disease, spinal tuberculosis meningitis.  His kind
and loving disposition to all made hosts of friends to mourn his untimely
departure.  Our deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved relatives, and more
especially to the stricken mother.  The funeral services were held Sunday at 2
p.m., at Smyrna, conducted by Mrs. Dunham of Ionia.  His remains were followed
to their last resting place by a large procession.
