The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, October 21, 1950

Mrs. Christine Wetterling Hockstad of Lansing died Friday, October 20, at 
Sparrow hospital in Lansing at 2:00 p.m.  She was taken to the hospital 
Thursday, and had been in ill health for the past 14 years.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 23, at 11:00 a.m. from the Estes 
Leadley funeral home in Lansing.  Burial will be in the Ionia Highland Park 
family lot.  The body will arrive in Ionia Monday between 12:00 and 12:30 p.m. 
for graveside services.

She is survived by one sister, Miss Mable Wetterling, of Lansing; two cousins, 
Mrs. Beth Johnson and Miss Kate Mills, of Ionia.

Formerly of Ionia, Mrs. Hockstad was owner of the former Wetterling property, 
which is now owned by Herman Hafner.
