The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, January 2, 1979

Albert E. Hodge, 60, of 11328 Peake Road, Portland died Friday at a Lansing 
hospital.  He was born August 30, 1918 in Livingston County, son of Albert 
Hodge and Violet Stocker.  Hodge is a retired farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine; five sons: Gary and Michael of 
Portland; William of St. Johns; Robert of Lansing and Ronald of Grand Ledge; 
four daughters: Mrs. Irene Miller of Woodland; Mrs. Connie Carr and Mrs. Jane 
Pline, both of Portland; Linda Hodge of Wacosta; 17 grandchildren; one sister, 
Mrs. Thelma Hayner.

Rosary service was Monday at the Neller funeral home in Portland.  Funeral 
mass was 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick’s church, Portland with Rev. Donald 
Weber officiating.  Burial was in Danby cemetery.  Pallbearers were Pete 
Densmore, Lloyd Gensterblum, Joseph Ellis, Randy Peake, Gerald Huhn, Jr., and 
Craig Redman.
