Hodge, 58, of Stanton, died Saturday, December 10, 2005 at his home. He was born December 13, 1946, on Pontiac, the son of Charles and Evelyn M. Guldner Hodge. He married Jannette Wiggins on January 22, 1969 in Greenville. Mr. Hodge was a longtime resident of the Stanton area. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, a member of VEW Post 5065 of Sheridan, American Legion Post 452 of Stanton and Traditional Congregational Church of Stanton. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Hodge; sister, Charlene Hodge; and sister-in-law, Shirley L. Wiggins. He is survived by his wife, Janette Hodge; two children, Ronyette Lafferty of Harvard, Ill., Robert C. D. Hodge of Tampa, Fla.; son-in-law, Michael S. Lafferty of Orleans; two grandchildren, Alexia L. Sowles, Theodore M. Lafferty; Parents, Charles G. and Evelyn Phenix of Stanton; two sisters, Denise and Jim Rowland, Michelle and Jason Dick, all of Greenville; brother, Charles C. Hodge of Ionia; mother-in-law, Dorothy Wiggins and Frank Young of White Cloud; father- in-law, Douglas J. and Ruth Wiggins of St. Louis; three sisters-in-law, Shirley A. Townsend and Jesus Gallejos of Stanton, Lorretta and Donald Forist of Greenville, Karen and Ray Fare of St. Louis; four brothers-in-law, Douglas and Burma Wiggins of Greenville, Dwight Wiggins of Stanton, Richard and Donna Wiggins of St. Louis, Lonny and Robin Wiggins of Stanton; and two aunts, Leona Evans, Wilma Guldner. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at Simpson Family Funeral Home, Sheridan, with the Rev. Larry Pike of Traditional Congregational Church officiating. Military rites will be conducted by VFW Post 5065 of Sheridan. Interment is in River Ridge Cemetery, Belding. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
