He was born on Jan. 13, 1928 in Lansing the son of Yates and Beatrice Hodges. Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during W.W. II and the Korean War as an aerial surveyor. He was a member of the American Legion in Laingsburg. He retired from Abrams Aerial Surveying in 1986. He along with his wife, Barbara enjoyed traveling, working with stained glass and photography. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara in 1998; his parents; and a sister, Patricia Stackhouse. Surviving are his children Jan (Marsha) Hodges, Debbie (Donald, Jr.) Negus of Remus, Jackie (Chuck) Turek of Laingsburg, Scott Hodges of California and Michael (Valerie) Hodges of Portland; six grandchildren; brothers Kelly (Nancy) Hodges of St. Louis, and Robert (Becky) Hodges of Midland. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, April 24, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing. The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland before the graveside service.
