GREENVILLE- Hilda M. Hodgkins, 73, of Greenville, formerly of Ionia, died 
Saturday at Butterworth Hospital, Greenville.

She was born Jan. 10, 1913, in York, England, the daughter of Earnest and Edith 
Wakefield.

She was a member and served as organist of St. Paul Episcopal Church and also 
as organist for Hoffman and Marshall Funeral Homes in Greenville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard M. Hodgkins on Aug. 25, 1968.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John (Margaret) Van Schager of Greenville and 
Ms. Robert (Patricia) Chambers of Fenwick, three sons, Richard of Ionia, 
William of Beaumont, Texas and Frederick of Victoria, Vancouver Island Canada, 
14 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Msr. Albert 
(Frances) Heimbecker and Mrs. Ronald (Mary) Carter Jr. both of Greenville; a 
brother, Norman Wakefield of Wilcox, Ariz. A brother, Frederick, also preceded  
her in death in 1955.

Funeral services will be held from St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Greenville, 
Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Vincent Anderson of St. John's Episcopal Church 
in Ionia officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Greenville.

The family will be at Marshall Funeral Home, 420 W. Grove, Greenville, Monday 
from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

A memorial has been established for the Michigan Heart Association in care of 
the funeral home.
