Mrs. Marie M. Hodgman, 80, of Ionia, passed away Friday, April 6, 2001, at
Sparrow Health Systems in Lansing.  Marie Marguerite Davis was born Oct. 7,
1920, in Lansing, the daughter of Percy and Harriett (Markey) Davis.  She moved
to Ionia when she was 9 years old.  Marie was married to Raymond Hodgman and he
preceded her in death.  She loved gardening and enjoyed shopping and visiting
with family and friends.

Mrs. Hodgman is survived by nephews, Harold (Kathleen) Davis Jr., Scott Davis,
Paul Davis, Roger Davis, John Davis and Robert (Virginia) Hodgman; nieces, Kathi
(Wesley) Dodds, Stephanie Davis, Michelle Davis and Vivian Harrell;
sisters-in-law, Lois Davis and Betty Davis; aunts, Pearl Seike and Monie
Wolgast; other nieces and nephews, Carol Gladding, Sharon Brandt, Doris Hopkins,
Marilyn Radulski and Keith Randall; and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond; two brothers,
Ronald Davis and Harold Davis Sr.

Visiting hours for Marie Hodgman are 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.,
Tuesday at Cook Funeral Home, Rich Street Chapel, Ionia.  The funeral service
will be 11 a.m. Wednesday from Cook Funeral Home with Rev. David Flagel of
LeValley United Methodist Church officiating.  Interment will be in Balcom
Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association
or LeValley United Methodist Church.  Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
