Gerald Joseph Hodsden, age 71, of Ionia passed away May 21, 2014.  He was born 
January 12, 1943 in Bronx, New York the son of Leslie and Catherine (Hawkins) 
Hodsden.

Gerald married Leslie Ahrlett on August 15, 1981 in Oscoda.  He was career 
military in the United States Air Force serving in Vietnam and retiring as a 
Staff SGT in 1994. 

Gerald will be missed greatly by his family. Gerald is survived by his wife, 
Leslie Hodsden of Ionia; daughters, Katie Champlin of Battle Creek, Krystal 
Hodsden of Ohio, Katie Marie Langan of Oscoda, and Shirley Anne Schindle of 
Arizona; sister, Catherine Winn of New York; grandchildren, Connor Champlin and 
Ashley Champlin.  He was preceded in death by his parents. 

No Services will be held at this time. Arrangements by Lake Funeral Home in 
Ionia.
