Ionia Sentinel Standard - March 31, 2011


Marilyn Ruth Hofbauer, 82, of Ionia passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2011. 
Mrs. Hofbauer was born on April 2, 1928 the daughter of Charles and Agatha 
(Wilson) Auger. She enjoyed reading, watching television and dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roland Hofbauer; two sons, 
Dr. Charles and Robert; granddaughter, Keri and several siblings. 

Surviving are her children, Thomas Hofbauer, Gerald (Christine) Hofbauer, Linda 
Hofbauer (Ian McDonald) and Kristine Hofbauer; grandchildren, Courtney, Jeri 
(Chad), Justin, Tyler, Eric, Bryan and Nicole; and five great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in L’Anse. For those desiring, 
memorial contributions may be made to the Lake Superior Hospice, 914 W. Baraga 
Ave., Marquette, MI 49855.
