Funeral service for William L. Hogan, 43, of San Diego, Calif., who died 
suddenly Tuesday, August 5, was held Friday morning from St. Joseph’s Cathedral 
in San Diego.  The Rev. Fr. Bramer officiated, and burial was at Holy Cross 
cemetery.  Pallbearers were Forest Boyd and Alfred Agostini of Lakeside and 
Joseph Simpson and O. B. Kennan of San Diego.

Rosary was recited Thursday evening at the Ryan-Sullivan funeral home, where 
the body reposed until time for the funeral service.

Mr. Hogan was born in Ionia May 18, 1915, the son of James and Lena Hogan, now 
deceased.  He attended SS. Peter and Paul academy.

He is survived by one daughter, Connie, of Grand Rapids; a sister, Mrs. Leo 
(Irene) Everest of Muskegon; five brothers, Cornelius J. and James O. of 
Detroit, John of Torrance, Calif., Richard of San Diego and Joseph of Ionia, 
and several uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

A mass will be offered for him Thursday by his immediate family at 8 a.m. at 
SS. Peter and Paul church, Ionia.
