Hogan, Carson City resident who has been spending the winter in Ionia, died Monday at 7:50 am at 115 North Dexter street where she has made her home here. Funeral arrangements have not been made but the body will be taken to the home of her nephew, Edward Kilduff,635 West Washington street. Ionia Sentinel - Friday, 9 May 1941: Funeral services were held Wednesday at 9:30 am from St. John the Baptist church at Hubbardston for Ms. Mary E. Hogan, who died Monday at her home at 115 North Dexter street in Ionia. The solemn high Mass was sung by her former pastor, Rev. P.A. O'Toole OF Carspm City with Rev. Bernard Beahan as deacon. Interment was held at the cemetery near the church. Ms. Hogan was born at Livonia Center, New York, May 4, 1867, the daughter of Dennis and Rosanna McManus Hogan. She came to Michigan with her parents at the age of 10 years and lived on a farm in Bloomer township until about four months ago when because of ill health, she and her brother John moved to Ionia. She was a member of the St. Mary's Altar society at Carson City. Surviving are one brother, John, a nephew Edward Kilduff of Ionia and two nieces, Mrs. Otto Remus of Lansing and Mrs. Thomas Grace of Carson City. Bearers at the funeral were Joseph Fahey, Terrance Quinn, Donald Evans, John Riley, John Burke and Richard Kane.
