Ionia Sentinel-Standard
John D. Hogan, 103, died Sunday evening at Ionia Manor after a short illness.  
He was born Feb. 27, 1877 in North Plains Township the son of Cornelius and Ann 
Hogan.  He attended the Center School and St. John the Baptist Catholic School 
in Hubbardston.  He farmed the family land for many years, retiring in 1967 when 
he moved to Ionia.

He is survived by one niece and three nephews.  Five brothers and a sister 
preceded him in death.

Funeral mass will be said at 10 am Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Church in 
Hubbardston with the Rev. E. R. Fox officiating.  Burial will be in the church 
cemetery.  Rosary services will be Tuesday evening at 8 pm at Hull Memorial 
Chapel in Muir.
