Peter and Paul church Friday morning, June 23, for Mrs. James P. Hogan who died Tuesday, June 20, at her home, 138 Lafayette street. Requiem high mass was sung by Father Henry Simon. Mass servers were Richard Dobbins, Rolland Enders, Howard Haight, Hugh and Fred Beahan, Friends in charge of the flowers were Mrs. Walter Behnke, Mrs. Tim Sullivan and Mrs. Katie Quirk, and those who so thoughtfully assisted in the home were Mrs. Mary Micks, Mrs. Ted Lehman and Mrs. Edith Spencer. Burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery with her six sons, Cornelius J., James P., Joseph M., John F., William L. and Richard P., as pall bearers. Besides her sons, Mrs. Hogan is survived by her husband, James P. Hogan, a daughter, Mrs. Leo Everest, of Grand Rapids, and three grandchildren, Todd Hogan, Jean Hogan, Ionia, and Robert Everest of Grand Rapids. Among those who attended the funeral from out of the city were Mr. and Mrs. William Hillary, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Everest and Cornelius Hogan of Grand Rapids; Mrs. Mayme Beahan and son, John, Perry and Pat Hogan, John and Mary Coonan, Mr. and Mrs. John Fox, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. John Fox, Jr., James Hogan, Mr. and Mrs. James Dailey and son and Miss Tess McKeone, all of North Plains; Mr. and Mrs. D. O. O’Connell, John McGraw, Mrs. Mary McGraw and daughter of Carson City; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Burgans, Agnes Schafer, Rita Cook, Monica and Ellen Everest, Rose Daily, Mrs. Raymond Holland, Clarence Keyes, all of Lansing; Mrs. Alfred McCollar of Portland; Mrs. Mayme Whelan, Miss Annie Jones of Detroit; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schaefer, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Cook, Pewamo; Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Schaefer, Owosso; Mr. and Mrs. Vincent George, Fowler; Mrs. Martha Todd, Jackson, and James Spitzley of Westphalia.
