Ralph E. Hogle, 87, of Sidney, died Wednesday evening at the Sheridan 
Community Hospital.  He was born Feb. 18, 1896, in Muir, the son of Henry and 
Emma Hogle. He had been a long time resident of the Belding, Greenville and 
Muir areas.  He was a member of the Trufant Masonic Lodge, and was a retired 
Gibson’s employee.

He was preceded in death by his wife Clara in 1977. Surviving are one 
daughter, Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Kline of Sidney; a step-daughter, Mrs. Harvey 
(Wava) Brokaw of Fenwick; one sister, 21 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren 
and 21 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Stebbins and 
Simpson Funeral Home in Sheridan, the Rev. Robert King officiating.  Masonic 
services are under the auspices of the Trufant Masonic lodge.  Interment will 
be at the North Plains Cemetery near Muir.  The family will meet with 
relatives and friends on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
