This proved to be the fact, for he died Tuesday night. Mr. Hogle was a native of New York state and was70 years of age the 30th of last December. He had been a resident of Portland for 35 years and was a carpenter by trade. He came to Portland form St. Johns. Besides a widow he is survived by two children—Joseph of Chicago and Mrs. W. H. Earle of this village—and a sister, Mrs. L. Hutchins of Adrian, who attended the funeral. Funeral services were conducted from the house on Friday afternoon last by Rev. Stewart and burial made by F. and A. Masons, of which he had been a member of many years. Card of Thanks: We, the undersigned, desire to return our sincere and heartfelt thanks to our friends and also to Portland Lodge, No. 31, F. and A.M., and to the D. of H. for their kindness and assistance in our late bereavement and loss. Yours truly, Mrs. Sarah Hogle J. B. Hogle Mrs. W. H.
