Ionia Sentinel Standard, 24 Sep 1945

Gliston Holaday, 50, died at his home in Lyons Sunday evening.  He is survived 
by his wife, two children, Dewey, 15, and Elizabeth, 12; his father, James 
Holaday; one brother, Don, of California, and two sisters, Mrs. Irene Fitch/
Pitch?, of New York, and Mrs. Patricia Grumond of Grand Rapids.

He was born in 1895 at Cedar Springs, and attended school in Grand Rapids.  
Later he came to Lyons and was married to the former Nellie Allen, in June, 
1927.  He is a veteran of World War I, and for five years has been employed by 
the Atlas Forge company, Lansing.  Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
