Ionia Sentinel Standard, 31 Dec 1951

Mrs. Mary Holbrook, 85, who lived for nearly 50 years in Ionia, most of the time
at 211 East Main street, died Monday morning.  She was born on August 8, 1866,
in Cleveland, O.  Mrs. Holbrook was well known in Ionia and was active in civic
affairs.  She was an honorary member of the Women’s Literary club, of SS. Peter
and Paul rosary society, and other church organizations. 

Surviving is Mrs. Holbrook’s husband, J.A. Holbrook, for many years an Ionia
businessman.

Rosary will be said at the Myers funeral home at 8 p.m. Wednesday.  The funeral
will be from SS Peter and Paul church at 9 p.m. Thursday.
