Ionia County News, 2 Dec 1943

Mrs. Lemuel G. Holbrook, 72, died at her home in Grand Rapids, Saturday,
November 27, and funeral service was held from the Westminster Presbyterian
church, that city, Monday afternoon with burial at Muir.

Deceased, before her marriage to Lemuel G. Holbrook, of St. Johns, was Jane
Elizabeth French of Muir.  Mr. Holbrook was superintendent of the Muir school
until 1922 when they moved to Grand Rapids.  Surviving, besides the husband are
a son, French Holbrook and a grandson, French Holbrook, Jr., of Grand Rapids.
