Lowell Ledger – 11 January 1912
Quite a number from Keene attended the funeral of little Gerald Holcomb Sunday 
at Saranac.  Mr. and Mrs. Bert Holcomb, former residents of Keene, now of Port 
Huron, came to Saranac two weeks ago to visit the former’s sister, Mrs. Frank 
Raymond.  Last Thursday their little son Gerald, 4 years old, was taken very 
ill.  He never regained consciousness and died that night.  The funeral was 
held at the M. E. church at Saranac Sunday at two o’clock, burial at Saranac, 
Rev. George officiating.  We as neighbors and friends extend our sympathy to 
the family.
