Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 8 May 1950

Charles H. Holcomb, 80, of Ionia Route 2 died Monday at 4:35 a.m. on the same 
farm where he was born and spent his life.  He was born Oct. 24, 1869, on the 
present Holcomb farm which has been in the family for over 80 years.  He was 
the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Holcomb.

His wife died Feb. 2, 1936.  He has been cared for for many years by a 
daughter, Mrs. June Listerman, and husband.  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. 
June Listerman, two grandchildren and a brother, Earl, of Ionia.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Myers funeral home.  Dr. 
Paul L. Stewart will officiate.  Interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
