The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, September 26, 1921

William H. Holcomb died at his home in Ionia township Sunday morning about 5 
o’clock.  He is survived by three sons, Charles, Earl and Floyd Holcomb and 
two brothers and three sisters.  He was the son of Jesse Holcomb one of the 
early settlers of this part of the county.  

The funeral will be held from the residence Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock sun 
time and 3 o’clock from the Disciple church.  Burial will take place in Oak 
Hill cemetery.  At the time of his death Mr. Holcomb was 80 years of age.
